The commission maths

Your Instagram follower books you. Why is Treatwell taking 42% of them?

Treatwell, Fresha and Booksy tax you on “new” clients — even the ones who found you on your own feed. Put in your numbers and see the yearly bill, next to a flat plan that takes 0% on the people you already own.

What the marketplaces actually charge

How much commission does Treatwell charge?
Treatwell typically charges around 42% (35% plus VAT) on a new client's first booking made through its marketplace, and can charge even when the salon cancels. Beatrice charges a flat monthly fee and takes 0% commission on your bookings.
How much does Fresha cost a salon?
Fresha charges a 20% 'new client' fee on marketplace-attributed bookings, plus a subscription (from £14.95/month, about £9.95/month per extra calendar) and card processing. Beatrice never takes a percentage of a booking.
Does Booksy take a percentage of my bookings?
Booksy's Boost feature takes 30% of the value of new clients it attributes to its marketplace (roughly a £5 minimum per client), on top of a subscription of about £29.99/month. Beatrice charges a flat fee with 0% commission.
Is there salon booking software with no commission?
Yes. Beatrice charges a flat monthly fee and takes 0% commission on your bookings. Clients book on a page under your own name and brand — not a marketplace — so the clients you introduce stay yours and you never pay a 'new client' fee on your own followers.
